Count on our therapist in Warwick, RI, to provide counseling for people with mental health concerns. Our psychologist is Norman F. Baldwin, Ph.D. He has decades of experience dating back to 1985 when he established his practice P P Solving. He helps you with a focused, structured approach that moves you forward.

Here are a few of the questions our clients often ask us:

What is behavioral therapy, and when is it used?

Behavioral therapy focuses on negative behaviors that impact your life, ranging from moderate to severe depression, unhappy marriages, and addictive behaviors. Such behaviors make it difficult to cope with life and are symptoms of deeper problems. Dr. Baldwin works with you to examine the deeper issues and address the behaviors that derail your life.

What therapeutic modality helps with treatment for trauma?

Many people come to our practice with a history of trauma. For these clients, Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) is one approach to removing blocks to your memory, so you can process the past and move forward with your life.

Many therapists utilize Emotional Freedom Techniques. What are these techniques, and how can they help?

EFT works on the theory that negative emotions disrupt meridians or energy points within the body. To correct this, therapists use a tapping sequence, using fingers to touch or tap the meridians to restore balance. The practice continues during sessions to clear the issue and blockage.
