Dr. Baldwin is a counseling psychologist providing individual and family therapy in Warwick, RI, as well as greater Providence, Wakefield, and the South County area of Rhode Island. For over 25 years, he has helped people work through problems with mental health counseling and behavioral therapy.

His experience includes consulting for a health care organization and working in mental health and addiction treatment centers prior to entering private practice. Additionally, Dr. Baldwin has worked with a broad base of clients, ages 10 to 90 with different social backgrounds.

He focuses on providing empathic support and active listening.  He then does a client assessment to identify strengths that can be applied to priority problem issues. Next, the client is encouraged to review multiple strategies that can be customized according to his or her needs. Dr. Baldwin's goal is to help clients transition from negative thoughts and inhibitions to more positive, goal-focused behaviors.

Dr. Baldwin has been interested in psychology since he was an undergraduate. He specializes in counseling and developmental psychology.

He believes that the psychology field offers techniques that solve issues in a strategic way. By identifying goals and instilling coping skills, he aims to speed up the process of change so problems can be dealt with effectively.

Dr. Baldwin undergoes ongoing education to stay current with the latest methods. His philosophy is based upon a person's ability to become empowered to overcome the barriers to change using a client-driven approach.
